Archaeology Campers Excavating at the Water's House in Germantown.M-NCPPC, Montgomery County offers children and adults the opportunity to participate in the rewarding experience of discovering our human past through archaeology. Participants in our summer workshops and fieldschools work side-by-side with the Park & Planning Archaeologists.
Children's workshops are offered to students aged 10 to 15 years; adult field sessions are offered to those 16 years and older.
Campers and Parks Staff on the steps of Needwood Mansion.The workshops are generally one week in length and include instruction in excavation and laboratory techniques, field trips, and fun projects. Participants can expect to assist the Park & Planning Archaeologists in the excavation and study of one of our many archaeological sites in Montgomery County.
