The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and the Department of Parks are currently investigating a recent unidentified contamination of the waterways leading into Flower Valley Neighborhood Park, 4510 Hornbeam Drive in Rockville. Contact with the water is prohibited at this time.
The contamination occurred upstream and outside of the park, killing a significant number of fish and other aquatic life. Currently MDE and parks aquatic biologists are continuing to look into the exact cause of this contamination and working to return this area to environmental health. Map of impacted area.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation. In the meantime, please enjoy the park’s ballfield, tennis and basketball courts, new playground and picnic shelter—they are safe to use.

In the continuing effort to make the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center the very best place to play indoor tennis in Montgomery County, we'll be resurfacing and color coating all six courts this summer. The center will close to start this work beginning Monday, July 7, and we hope to have the work completed and re-open the facility on Thursday, September 11.
If you sign up for a Summer '08 tennis clinic at Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center between July 7 and September 10 (while we're redoing the courts), instruction for your class will take place at the outdoor tennis courts at Cabin John Regional Park (right next to Cabin John Ice Rink, 10610 Westlake Drive). more
We truly regret the inconvenience caused to the tennis community by the multiple delays to the renovation project at the Wheaton Indoor Tennis facility. We rarely have had so many bad things happen to a good project. Find project history, answers and plans for moving forward here.
