NOTES:
- Boat, canoe and kayak rental is available only on weekends through September. ~ Public Pontoon Boat Rides on the "Kingfisher", will continue in September on the 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, at 12:30, 2 & 3:30 pm and on the 21st at 12:30 & 3:30. Purchase tickets at the Boat House. Naturalist led Interpretive programs on the pontoon boat continue through October, check the fall guide for upcoming offerings.
- Interpretive programs are offered year-round for families and individuals of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors. In addition, during the school year, educational programs are offered to schools, home-schoolers, scouts, and other organized groups. To reach the Naturalist Staff call 301-972-5991.

Related Cancellations Notice: During inclement weather, Nature Facilities follow Montgomery County Public School closures, delayed openings and early releases. If school is closed for inclement conditions, all children's programs are cancelled. Cancellation of Adult programs is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please call the nature facility to check on adult program status, 301-972-5991.

New at the center!
The sign for our wildlife meadow, located next to the visitor center, has been installed, as well as a new bench at the bottom og the meadow. Volunteers have planted flowers in the meadow & in the beds around the center to attract the butterflies & hummingbirds. Please stop by to see their beautiful work.
Monarch Fiestal Day
Mark your calendar for our "Monarch Fiesta Day", at Black Hill Visitor Center on Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 am to 3 pm, details are in the new fall guide and on our fall programs page.There will be activities for the whole family: games, crafts, garden information, tagging and releasing monarch butterflies. Please join us!
