In January 2006 the Montgomery County Council concluded its review of the Planning Housing and Economic Development recommendations of the Draft Plan and approves the plan. Belw is the calendar of previous planning actions:
January
2005: The
Planning, Housing, and Economic Development (PHED) Committee
began its review of the Planning Board Draft Sector Plan
(July 2004).
July
2004: The
Planning Board approved its draft of the Shady Grove Sector
Plan and forwarded it to the County Executive and the
County Council for their review.
January
2004: Planning
Board worksessions began on all aspects of the July 2004
Staff Draft from land use to environment to public facilities
recommendations.
July 2002 - December 2003:
Planning
Board staff held a series of focus group meetings, public
workshops, and design charrettes to solicit community
ideas and input into the Plan.
