Private Project: 1050 Ripley Street

Description

An Optional Method application was submitted for a new project on the south side of Ripley Street in the Ripley/South Silver Spring Overlay District.  The property is zoned CBD-2 and is currently occupied by several light industrial uses.  The proposed 306,114 square foot residential building height would include up to 335 dwelling units and 3,068 square feet of commercial space; the maximum building height would be 200’.  Ripley Street and Dixon Avenue would be improved along the project’s frontage.  The Metropolitan Branch Trail would run along the western edge of the property, next to the railroad tracks.
