Description:
A developer has proposed the demolition of the former Perpetual Bank Building and construction of  a new 143’ tall building with residential development over office and ground floor retail.  The 0.526 acre parcel is zoned CBD-2.  The proposed building would include 106 dwelling units, including MPDUs, and 115 parking spaces. The existing building is has been nominated for designation on the Master Plan for Historic Preservation, which must be resolved before redevelopment can occur. The Montgomery County Council will make the determination concerning the historic designation in Fall 2008.
