Planning Board Action:
Planning Board action on a Mandatory Referral for three additional classrooms and other improvements is anticipated in late July 2005.

Notes From M-NCPPC Staff:
On June 13, 2002 the Planning Board provided MCPS with comments regarding the addition of six classrooms at the southeast corner of the building, the addition of a new kitchen and multi-purpose room adjacent to the existing gymnasium, and the relocation and enlargement of the administrative area. On June 16, 2003 staff sent comments to MCPS regarding an administrative review of four additional classrooms at Broad Acres.

Other improvements to the site design resulting from the 2002 and 2003 reviews include additional path connections to the neighborhood, more trees for the parking lots and a path connection to the park entry. M-NCPPC agreed to temporary use of parkland during construction.
